Aquilion Precision Veterinary CT System

More than Twice the Resolution of Today’s Veterinary CT Systems

Introducing the Canon Aquilion Precision, the world’s first Ultra-High Resolution CT (UHR CT) that redefines veterinary diagnostic systems by resolving anatomical details as small as 150 microns. This exceptional resolution, typically reserved for cath labs, now enhances veterinary CT, setting a new standard in image quality.

The UHR detector’s innovative design doubles the resolution of conventional technologies, with groundbreaking advancements in the tube, gantry, and reconstruction technologies.

The Aquilion Precision leverages Deep Learning Neural Networks in its CT reconstruction, utilizing AiCE (Advanced intelligent Clear-IQ Engine) to produce images that are remarkably sharp, clear, and distinct. This advanced reconstruction method is built on the Model-Based Iterative Reconstruction (MBIR) algorithm, delivering 0.25 mm, 1024 matrix Ultra-High Resolution CT images with minimal noise.

We offer both new and factory-refurbished systems, ensuring a fit for a variety of veterinary diagnostic needs.

CLINICAL APPLICATIONS

What this system is built for

The Aquilion Precision is designed for veterinary applications where conventional CT resolution simply isn’t sufficient, opening a new category of diagnostic detail for small animal imaging, orthopedics, and research.

Small animal neurological imaging

150-micron resolution and a 1024 × 1024 reconstruction matrix reveal fine neural structures, intervertebral disc pathology, and intracranial lesions in cats and small dogs with unprecedented clarity.

Orthopedic & musculoskeletal

Subchondral bone detail, fine cortical architecture, and joint space morphology are resolved at a level previously only achievable through histology, enabling precise orthopedic diagnosis and surgical planning.

Inner ear & sinus imaging

Ultra-high resolution imaging of the tympanic bulla, cochlea, semicircular canals, and nasal turbinates delivers diagnostic confidence for complex ENT cases in companion animals.

Research & preclinical imaging

The Precision bridges the gap between clinical CT and micro-CT, making it the system of choice for veterinary research institutions that need submillimeter in vivo imaging without dedicated research equipment.
